Sustainable Management

Starting with the Unification Village in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, a total of 127 “houses of love” were built in 2008 to provide a more comfortable environment in neighborhoods suffering from poor housing conditions. This volunteer activity benefits from the participation of our executives and employees, but also by members of the Doowoo Association, who are a group of excellent partners.

In order to enrich the city and the daily lives of residents, flower paths are being created in parks and other major recreation sites. Together with local governments and community volunteer centers, we select a place that will benefit from the project, plant seasonal flowers and shrubs that blend in with the local environment, and then paint the facilities together.

At each site, there are activities to improve residential facilities, such as the renovation of old houses in the vicinity, Hope Ondol warm winter projects, and support for flood-damaged households. Through various programs, such as delivering safety items to fire-vulnerable households to help them prepare for social disasters, we are striving to support the development and co-existence of local communities.

Since 1992, we have visited military bases through our “Tea of Love” program, to boost morale and express our gratitude for the hard work of military officers and enlisted men who are performing their national defense duties.
